Dance

Dance is part of arts, it is a rhythmic body movements performed in a specific time and place for the purpose of relationships, feelings, intentions, and thoughts. Sounds called music accompaniment dancers dance regulate movement and strengthen intention to convey. Dance is different movements from everyday movements such as running, walking, or gymnastics.

  Based on the type of dance choreography, there are :
1. Solo Dance - performed by dancers, both men and women.
2. Dance in pairs (duet / pas de Duex) - performed by two people in pairs
3. Dance group (Group choreography)- exhibited more than two people.


In most ancient civilizations, dancing for the god is an important element in temple ritual. In Egypt the priests and priestesses, accompanied by harps and pipes, perform stately movements which mime significant events in the story of a god, or imitate cosmic patterns such as the rhythm of night and day. Another ritual for example in Egyptian funerals, women dance to express the grief of the mourners.

Music

Music is a sound which organized in such a way that it contains rhythms, songs, and harmony especially noise generated from tools that can produce sounds. Music is a very unique phenomenon that can be produced by several musical instruments. Hear the music is a kind of entertainment.

Music is known since the presence of modern humans Homo sapiens that is about 180,000 to 100,000 years ago. There is no man who knows when the first known art and music. From archaeological discoveries at sites such as the African continent about 180,000 years to 100,000 years ago have shown changes in the evolution of the human brain thinking, so music have been found on that period.
In life on the move, they probably got the inspiration to take the leg bone dry game that became their food and then blow it out and make a sound. There is also an inspiration when observing nature with a wood or bamboo blow cavities that emit sound. Wood furnace and a hole formed ancient flute.

Humans express their feelings of fear and joy using sounds. Play around with their sound into a song, hymn or poem inspired by the songs of small birds chirping. Sculpture

Sculpture is one kind of arts. Sculpture been one of the most important forms of documenting the human experience throughout history. the act of using hands or use basic sculptural tools to craft art has been found in most ancient civilizations, ranging from the Roman Empire to the Mayan and Inca empires in the Americas, as well as isolated tribes in Polynesia and deep in the Amazon jungle.

Sculpture have many types, there are wood carving, pottery, glass, metal, and stone. Sculpture for the first time use stone. Because in ancient period there are many stone. 


Sculpture has been central in religious devotion in many cultures, and until recent centuries large sculptures, too expensive for private individuals to create, were usually an expression of religion or politics. Those cultures whose sculptures have survived in quantities include the cultures of the Ancient Mediterranean, India and China, as well as many in South America and Africa.

Modernist sculpture movements include Cubism, Geometric abstraction, De Stijl, Suprematism, Constructivism, Dadaism, Surrealism, Futurism, Formalism Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Minimalism, Land art, and Installation art among others.
In the early days of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso revolutionized the art of sculpture when he Began creating his constructions fashioned by combining Disparate objects and materials into one constructed piece of sculpture; the sculptural equivalent of the collage in two dimensional art.

Visual Art - Drawing

Drawing is a form of visual expression and is one of the major forms within the visual arts. Methods of drawing are line drawing, stippling, tracing, and shading. And there are 3 categories of drawing, including figure drawing, cartooning and doodling.

Drawing formed form a sketch. The sketch is a quick, unrefined drawing.
It is not known when art or drawing was established. Sketches and painting already found since prehistoric times, that can find in the cave and rock. Since 14th century, each century has produced artist that known until now through their works, like Donatello, Michaelangelo, Jules Paskin, Peter Paul Rubens, etc.
The basic tools for drawing are drawing board or table, Pencil Sharpener and eraser, and for ink drawing, and also blotting paper. Different from painting that use bit or more water as a media, drawing use a dry media.
Painting include drawing. Painting is a mode of creative expression, and the forms are numerous. Drawing, composition or abstraction and other aesthetics may serve to manifest the expressive and conceptual intention of the practitioner. Abstract is the one painting work that can't resulting from just drawing.

Visual Art - Photography

Photography?
Photography is derived from the Greek words photos (light) and graphein (to draw) The word was first used by the scientist Sir John F.W. Herschel in 1839. It's mean recording images by the action of light. Recording images able in 2 ways, first is a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, second is electronically by means of an image sensor.

Photography is used by amateurs to preserve memories, to capture special moments, to tell stories, to send messages, and as a source of entertainment. High speed photography allows for visualizing events that are too fast for the human eye. Photography also use for security.

In the first decades of the 19th century, photography (by way of the camera) judged can capture  more than detail information, better than statues or painting, which at that time painting and sculpting are the daily activities.

Digital photography:
In 1981, Sony introduced new products, the camera use a charge-coupled device for imaging, eliminating the need for film: the Sony Mavica. While the Mavica saved images to disk, the images were displayed on television, and the camera was not fully digital. In 1991, Kodak unveiled the DCS 100, the first commercially available digital single lens reflex camera. Although its high cost precluded uses other than photojournalism and professional photography, commercial digital photography was born. That model of the camera to this day is still circulating in the community.

Famous Figure of Art (2)

He is one of the greatest artists of all time, a man Whose name has Become synonymous with the word "masterpiece": Michelangelo Buonarroti.
Michelangelo Buonarroti was born on March 6, 1475, at Caprese, in Tuscany, from his father Ludovico di Leonardo di Buonarotto Simoni, and his mother Francesca Neri.
Buonarroti's mother died young, when the child was only six years old. But even before then, Michelangelo's childhood had been grim and lacking in affection. Because of that, his father sent him to the school of a master, Francesco Galeota from Urbino, who in that time taught grammar. While he studied the principles of Latin, Michelangelo made friends with a student, Francesco Granacci six years older than him, who was learning the art of painting in Ghirlandaio's studio and who encouraged Michelangelo to follow his own artistic vocation.

Michelangelo's father was a man obsessed with preserving what little remained of the Buonarroti fortunes. With few properties and monies remaining Ludovico hoped that with his studies, Michelangelo could become a successful merchant or businessman, thereby preserving the Buonarroti position in society. His father was always mad if he go for learnt art.

Because of his genius in the arts, she has painted on the wall of the church, a statue, and he's underpaid. He worked for many prominent figures such as the pontift. He worked hard to and fro to seek money for his family. in his teenage years, he struggled to support his family.
The high point of Michelangelo's early style is the gigantic marble David, roomates he produced between 1501 and 1504, after returning to Florence.

Michelangelo's crowning achievement as an architect was his work at St. Peter's Basilica, where he was made chief architect in 1546. The building was being constructed according to Donato Bramante's plan, but Michelangelo ultimately became responsible for the altar end of the building on the exterior and for the final form of its dome.

Michelangelo Buonarroti died, giving himself up to God, on February 18th, 1564, after a slow fever. As Vasari tells us, he made his will in three sentences, in front of his physician and his friends Tommaso Cavalieri and Daniele da Volterra, saying that he left "his soul to God, his body to the earth, and his material possessions to his nearest relations.

Famous Figure of Art (1)

Leonardo da Vinci. I think no one never heard this name, everyone know that he is the master of art.  He was known as a painter, moreover he was a botanist, anatomist, musician, scientist, geologist, and inventor too. Among his work, Mona Lisa is the most famous portrait, which is now kept in Louvre Paris Museum.
Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Tuscan hill town of Vinci. He is the son of Ser Piero da Vinci and Caterina. His name means Leonardo, son of Ser Piero from Vinci city.
Da Vinci spent his first 5 years in his mother's house, in the hamlet of Anchiano. Then, in 1457 he lived in the household of his father, in the small city of Vinci.
in 1466, when he was 14 years old, he had learned painting with Andrea del Verrocchio in Firenze. There is news that Verrocchio retiring because Da Vinci is very great painter, and many other talents, exceed him.
In 1481, Da Vinci move to Milan, work for Duke there. His most famous work during in Milan is Sforza Horse, that he was made for 11 years. But, there's not only paint and sculpture, he also transform the streets of rivers and building canals. Then, he work for King Louis XII of France in Milan and to Pope Leo X in Rome.

In his life Leonardo was interested in science. He began studying the birds fly and started designing flying machines. The thinking is captured in the book as much as 7000 pages of memoirs.
In the book there is also a sketch of the study of the human body. In those days, the anatomy of the human body is nothing more than just about anyone else is strictly prohibited due to dissect corpses. With his recklessness steal surgeon opportunity to dissect a dead body, later actions were not uncommon in this era contributed greatly to the world of medicine.

In 1476, Florentine court records show that Da Vinci and 3 young men were charged with sodomy and acquitted. Because of that incident, from 1476 until 1478 there is no record of his work. And the second, he received on March 1481, that he have to make The Adoration of the Magi for the Monks of San Donato a Scopeto. Then, Da Vinci work for Milan from 1482 until 1499. He was commissioned to paint the Virgin of the Rocks for the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception and The Last Supper for the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie, and this included in one of his masterpiece.
From 1513 until 1516, Da Vinci spent much of his time in the Belvedere in Vatican, Rome, where annother great artist, Raphael and Michaelangelo were both active in that time.
Da Vinci dead on May 2, 1519, when he was 67 years old in Amboise, Touraine. People say "there had never been another man born in the world who knew as much as Leonardo, not so much about painting, sculpture and architecture, as that he was a very great philosopher."
